Please allow us to introduce you to Dexter, the Mid-Optic sponsored Guide Dog. Dexter is a Golden Retreiver and was born on 3rd May 2009.
As you know, Mid-Optic have supported the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity for many years now and we are proud to announce that we now sponsor Dexter with his training to be a Guide Dog. After several months of training, Dexter will be matched with a blind or partially-sighted person, changing their life forever.
This page will keep you updated on Dexter's progress throughout his first year, with pictures and comments from his dog walker. In fact his latest progress report is featured below!
September 2010
Dexter has now joined the Guide Dog training schedule in Atherton for his final training. Here he will be taught the final training that will enable him to accompany his blind or partially sighted partner.
It has been a pleasure to be part of Dexter's progress, which we are sure you will agree, will be such an important part of someone's life.
